Inverloch Is Ready For Duty!

Inverloch SLSC is gearing up for patrol season.
The club hosted their Inverloch Leadership Search and Rescue (ILSAR) five-day residential course this month that brought together Life Saving Victoria, Victoria Police, Water Police, SES, and Ambulance Victoria for an intensive, hands-on training experience.
With emergency management support provided by LSV Communications and key lifesaving leaders, the program welcomed 16 participants and nine senior trainers to a packed schedule of workshops, scenarios, and agency-led exercises.

The feedback has been outstanding, and the program has now cemented its place in the training calendar, serving as a vital engagement and leadership pathway for members aged 16–20. It’s more than just training; it’s about building confidence, capability, and connection.
ILSAR Lead Coordinator Xavier Korbel said,
“ILSAR has been a powerful way to launch the patrol season. It gives our members, especially emerging leaders, a stronger understanding of incident response, inter-agency collaboration, and decision-making under pressure. Participants leave the program more confident, more capable, and more deeply engaged in lifesaving.”
As we move into the patrol season, ILSAR continues to demonstrate our commitment to preparedness, innovation, and excellence in lifesaving.
